Lessons in Resilience
Learning ways to manage challenges and be the best version of you.
Resilience is the ability to overcome the challenges that come into your life. It isn’t something you were born with, it is learnt and dependent on the resources you have. On this page I have put together a series of what I call “lessons” and divided them by semesters. You can start anywhere you like to find the resource you need. Resources are constantly updated so come back later and see what is here.
About me...
Experience
I started my career as a primary teacher and then retrained as a psychologist. I have worked in the government, private, Catholic, and Independent sectors as a teacher, lecturer, and psychologist. This has provided me with both the practical understanding and research to support wellbeing.
I have featured on television (The Project, Channel 9, ABC news) and radio (ABC, Triple J). I am also a frequent contributor in print media.
My PhD focused on how young people overcome challenges and become resilient. This research and my experience in practice forms the foundation for the lessons on this page.
